Our team has the right experience to construct the high-quality post and frame buildings you need for your operation.

People have been building buildings for thousands of years, and it’s no surprise that in that time, we have developed countless construction techniques to suit a wide variety of applications. One of the keys to running a successful construction business like ours at Carolina Bay Construction is being able to determine which construction method is best for the project at hand. For example, if you need to create a building with an open interior space, such as barn or other agricultural building, then post and frame construction is a great choice.

Post and Frame Buildings in Goldsboro, North Carolina

Post and frame buildings are made of steel posts and trusses, with steel cladding over the top and sides to form the roof and walls. First, a concrete foundation is installed, and then the vertical support beams are anchored to it. Next, horizontal cross-beams are added to give the frame more strength and rigidity, and then roof trusses are installed over the top. Finally, the cladding is installed to make the structure into a true building and not just a skeletal frame.

Unlike traditional stick framed buildings, which have studs every 16” or so, post and frame buildings only need posts every 8 feet. This makes it easier and faster to build post and frame structures, which is why they are so great for agricultural and other outdoor applications.

Our team is proud to be a part of the community here in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and we want to help you with all your construction needs. To learn more about our post and frame buildings, just give us a call.
